US stainless producers cut stainless alloy surcharges for August

It's reported that the US stainless producers have reduced alloy surcharges for 300 grade stainless steel products for August, mainly to reflect lower nickel prices.

Also, the US stainless producers have reduced stainless alloy surcharges for consecutive five months.

North America Stainless cuts alloy surcharges for 304 grades stainless steel products to US$0.6267/lb. for August from US$0.6641/lb. for July. Also, it reduced alloy surcharges for 316 grades to 0.8821/lb. from US$0.9447/lb.

ATI Allegheny Ludlum reduced alloy surcharges for 304 grades to US$0.6355/lb. from US$0.6641/lb., decrease those for 316 grades to US$0.8821/lb. from US$0.9447/lb.

AK Steel cut alloy surcharges for 304 and 316 grades to US$0.6353/ton and US$0.8874/lb. respectively for August.
